Personal Background: The requirements for admission to Desert Baptist Bible College include a definite knowledge of Christ as Saviour and Lord, an honest desire to know the will of the Lord and do it, a genuine concern for the lost, a teachable heart and mind, a commitment to the doctrinal position of DBBC, a willingness to abide by the standard of the college while a student, and a readiness to apply oneself intellectually.
Attitude is of Utmost Importance: Desert Baptist Bible College students should always strive to manifest the highest and best Christian spirit and loving attitude towards college staff, fellow students, and local church members.
Personal Appearance: While attending Desert Baptist Bible College, all students will keep in mind they are representing DBBC, the local church, and most of all, the Lord Jesus. As a student, you should desire to dress modestly, both on and off the campus. Modest Christian apparel excludes tight or revealing clothing, see-through material, or low necklines. Remember, you are a responsible adult.
While attending classes, the appropriate dress for men is dress pants and shirt, with tie (jacket optional). For women, the appropriate dress is blouses and skirts, or dresses of acceptable length and modesty, covering the knee. Printing and/or pictures on shirts or blouses, sweatshirts, or jackets, must be appropriate and in keeping with upholding the Lord’s testimony. Men and women must always wear appropriate footwear for class.
Church Service: We require all students to attend the services of their respective church unless the student makes arrangement with DBBC administration and their Pastor to work in another church.
Attendance Policy: We expect all students to attend all classes, church services, and church visitation, except when ill, family emergency, or unavoidable absence. As a student, you must report your absence, in advance of class activities, to your respective college professor(s). You are expected to make up for all missed classroom time by watching the recorded videos and completing class assignments. Late assignments are subject to point deductions, as may be determined by your professors and as noted in the class Syllabus.
Transportation Policy: Desert Baptist Bible College will not be responsible for any student or students’ form of transportation, while traveling to and from DBBC and/or related events.
