Apologetics (AP)

But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. Philippians 1:17

Apologetics, taken from a Christian world view, develops a persuasive discourse upon the reality of the God of the Bible, and in a manner conducive of good Christian behavior. As with preaching, it does not convert individuals: We cannot argue anyone into Salvation. However, Apologetics seeks to provide a rational justification for the truth claims of Christianity to an unsaved world. It answers the question, β€œIs Christianity defensible?” Using Apologetics, the Christian can break down barriers of unbelief, both moral and existential, enabling the unbeliever the choice of responding to the Gospel of Jesus Christ or not.

A defense of the Christian faith against arguments aimed against it. A study of the evidence of the historic Christian faith and the factual Holy Scriptures. A study of the various methods and types of non-Christian world views. Use of Biblical Revelation and human reason in refuting attacks on Christianity, in providing evidence for the unsaved to consider, and in edifying the believer.
