BI365 Pastoral Epistles

In this course, the student conducts an expository, i.e. chapter by chapter, verse by verse study, on the books of I and II Timothy and Titus (the Pastoral Epistles). This course also surveys the background and context, the charges given by Paul to Timothy, the requirements for certain offices, the functions of certain ministering groups in the church and the overall encouragement to be faithful in the ministry. We designed this course, specific for the preparation of pastoral or missionary students to preach and teach these Epistles later in their ministry. Upon completing this course, the student has a better understanding of the Biblical qualifications for pastors and deacons, and a better awareness of the danger of false teachers and teachings.
